Meeting with professors to tell them about my disability. But after the first couple times I realized that they are very understanding and easy to get along with. What would you like people to know about your disability? That I am no different than anyone else. I just require a quite place with extra time to help me succeed. What would you tell a student who has a disability like yours? To definitely use the accommodations offered, their great. What advice would you give to a new student at MU? Do not be scared to use the available resources and meet all of your professors during their office hours to introduce yourself. This will open a lot of doors to jobs as well as easier assistance throughout their class. In what way did the Office of Disability Services make a difference in your education? It gave me a huge boost of confidence to realize that I can succeed my college curriculum. My exam grades went from failing to satisfactory, which makes a world of difference in classes with grades based solely on exams.
