What are your future endeavors? I plan to teach English in Korea or China for 13 months after graduation in May.

What are your hobbies? I like to volunteer in the community, knitting, sewing, listening to music

What has been your greatest challenge while at MU? My biggest challenge has been transferring to MU as a junior and not being able to actually declare Communications as my major due to some credits and restrictions until I was a senior. I had to get overrides for all of my Communications classes, and it was a struggle my first couple of semesters. I also was a day student at MU full-time and a night student at Columbia College for a semester. That was a real challenge juggling my homework, working and also keeping my commitments to my service organization, The Sisters of the Scarlet Camellia as well.

What would you like people to know about your disability I would like them to know that I didn't even know I had a disability for most of my college career. It was something I just thought I had a weakness in and left it untested. I believe that if I had known earlier about my disability I could have been a more successful student and also would have not been so hard on myself for being "different" than other students.

What would you tell a student who has a disability like yours? If you have suspicions about your learning style, how you learn and remember things, I would definitely try to be tested to determine if there is a problem. I would also tell people to never feel ashamed if you have a disability. Having a disability makes you no less human than others. I believe that with whatever restriction or disadvantage you may have that others don't that God gives you some other amazing skill or talent to make up for it. I would also say never let your disability stop you from striving for success or happiness in life.

What advice would you give to a new student at MU? Definitely to get involved! MU has so many programs and clubs that there is something for everyone. If not- you can even make your own club or organization!
