David Shwalb Graduate Assistant
David Shwalb was raised in Japan and moved to the U.S. for high school. He received his bachelor’s and master’s degree in psychology from Brigham Young University. While in Utah, he worked at the university’s counseling center. His professional development in BYU largely centered on disability services. David is currently a doctoral student in the Counseling Psychology program and our office’s first Graduate Assistant. His job here is to provide individual and group oriented support to students registered with ODS. In addition to his work as a graduate student, David serves as a part-time member of the Air Force. He was also in the Army for six years and recently completed his second tour of duty to the Middle East. After graduating from Mizzou, he plans to work in the Air Force as a full time clinical psychologist. Besides work, David enjoys spending time with his family and friends. His hobbies include fishing, listening to music, working out, cooking and traveling. |
